This 10-episode docu-series produced by Jesse (Daze)Swindell and executive produced by Talib Shakur, delves into the life and legacy of Black revolutionary Mutulu Shakur, shedding light on his accomplishments and the enduring social issues he fought against—issues that ultimately shaped the life of the son he never met. The series highlights Mutulu's role as an acupuncturist and healer, a leader in the Black Liberation Movement, the father of hip-hop legend 2Pac, a target of the FBI’s counterintelligence program, and a long-term political prisoner.
Through a parallel lens, the series explores the life of his son, Talib Shakur, tracing his journey through crime, incarceration, and eventual spiritual transformation—culminating in his first meeting with Mutulu. This is a story of struggle and resilience, of stark parallels and shared hope, and ultimately, of a father and son finding each other against all odds.
